A sad news
Mikhail Bekker, 95 years old historian, writer, passed away. Mikhail was for many years heading the Union of the World War II Jewish veterans in Moldova. He personally was awarded by 15 military orders and medals. From the beginning took part in revival of the Jewish life in the country and was author of many monographies, articles, researches on Holocaust, Righteous among the nations stories, World war II tragedy.
KJJC expresses the deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of Mikhail Bekker who will remain in our memory.
History of the Jewish Family
On December 9-11 KJJC Jewish family club conducted Shabbaton in the frames of “History of my family from generation to generation” project.
The uniqueness of the project is in presentation in an art form (presentations, essays, applied art, audio and video recordings, etc.)
A part of this work was conducted on the Shabbaton. Also traditional Shabbat and Avdala ceremonies took place in the frames of it.
“I take part in such a program for the first time”, confessed Olesya. “I can confirm that it was very interesting and productive”.
