The Most Impressive Holiday!

A merry Clown made masks and costumes with children, an energetic Pirate initiated competitions, and Pooh Bear gave the sweets. Over 300 people – mainly kids and youth – gathered at the KJJC on February 24 to celebrate Purim – one of the most expected during the year Jewish holidays. The program was intense and full of events.

“This is the best holiday in the world!” exclaimed 5-years old Albina. “Such a kind and merry!” Adults converted in Esther and Mordechai, children in foxes, hare, bees, princesses. Many competitions, crowds of people, traditional music and humentashen made the atmosphere on all the floors of the Campus full of holiday. The climax was in the Theatre Hall where five teams from JCC KEDEM (youth club Haverim), Tiraspol, Beltsy, Rybnitsa and Israeli Cultural Center presented their original Purimshpiel versions. Between their performances JCC art groups presented bright concert numbers. In the parallel JCC Jewish Family club held its own program with Megillat Esther, snacks, film making on the idea of Purim, prizes and nice mood. The festival lasted for over eight hours and became one of the most successful of the last years.

“We with my daughter celebrate Purim for the first time”, said Yana. “Especially for the holiday we made costumes and we are purely happy! Thank you very much for the holiday!”
