An International Scientific Conference “Memory of the Holocaust” was held at the KJJC by initiative of the Yad va Shem memorial together with the JDC Branch in Moldova and Center of Training and Professional Development (CTPD).

“Our task is to reconstruct the names of the people perished in Holocaust”, said Galina Karger, CTPD Director. “And educate the young generation in the spirit of tolerance and mutual esteem”.

“I am sure that our Conference will become the next step in preserving our historical memory”, said Boris Maftsir in the interview to the National Moldova Broadcast. “Only during the last time over 2,200 questionnaires were sent to Yad va Shem from Moldova. And I am deeply thankful to our volunteers who just after the Conference helped to fill in 235 questionnaires that will be sent to Jerusalem through diplomatic mail.”
